Former PP Director: More People Would be Pro-Life if They Saw Barbarity of Abortions

Former Planned Parenthood director Abby Johnson believes more Americans would oppose abortion if they could see the barbaric violence with which unborn babies are killed in the womb.

Speaking with Fox & Friends host Rachel Campos-Duffy on Sunday, the pro-life leader reminded Americans of the violence of abortion as abortion activists protested the overturning of Roe v. Wade in Washington, D.C.

“I think if people could actually see the barbarity of abortion, if they could see how terrible abortion is, more people would be against it,” Johnson said.

Once a celebrated Planned Parenthood director, Johnson quit and became pro-life after she assisted with an abortion and saw the unborn baby as he/she was being aborted.

“If people really saw abortion for what it is, I think that more people would be against it,” she said. “… I think one of the reasons that so many people are protesting against the overturning of Roe v. Wade, is because you don’t see the victim of abortion. You don’t see this child being dismembered in its mother’s womb. You don’t see the body parts stacked on top of each other.”

Instead of protesting, Johnson urged more Americans to join pro-lifers in supporting families in need. She said abortion activists accuse pro-life advocates of not helping women — and then vandalize and set fire to the very organizations, pregnancy resource centers, that do just that.

“We’re the ones that are helping women. We would love for them to join us and help women that are in need,” Johnson continued.

Last week, she said her pro-life organization LoveLine raised more than $10,000 in 45 minutes through Facebook to buy a car for a single mother of six children.

“They could be doing that, too,” she said of the pro-abortion protesters. “We’d love for them to join us, but instead they’re sitting outside the White House doing nothing.”

For nearly 50 years, Roe v. Wade forced states to legalize abortion on demand up to viability. As a result, more than 63 million unborn babies were killed in abortions. On June 24, the U.S. Supreme Court granted a huge victory for life when it overturned Roe.

Now, states are allowed to protect unborn babies from abortion again, and more than a dozen already are doing so. The Charlotte Lozier Institute estimates more than 120,000 unborn babies are being saved from abortion as a result.
